Volunteer Board of Directors

Under their stewardship, Meadville Area Federal Credit Union continues to provide a safe place for you to keep and grow your financial assets, get sound financial advice, and enjoy competitive rates on financial services and products. Our Board of Directors ensures that we deliver the highest level of service to you while maintaining financial strength and stability.

The Board of Directors is elected by members to provide general direction and control of the credit union. The Act and bylaws require that the board shall consist of not fewer than 5 and no more than 7 and consists of an odd number of credit union members. The Board is required to meet at least once a month to review credit union operations. The responsibilities of the directors are stated in Sections 111, 112 & 113 of the Federal Credit Union Act and Articles VII & VIII of the bylaws.

Qualifications to be elected to the committee

  1. Must be a member of the credit union, for a minimum of 6 months and must be in good standing.
  2. Must be bondable by the credit unions surety bond company.
